The Independence Historical Museum & Art Center's monthly watercolor class, taught by Chetopa artist Joan Allen, will offer a change of pace for the June session. Because the Verdigris Valley Art Show is in the museum’s gallery space through June 18, another space was needed for the monthly watercolor class, so organizers decided to try a “Plein-Air” or outdoor class for a change of pace. The Saturday, June 13 class will be held at the Patio 210 area, just south of the museum on Main Street. The time will be from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., and the cost is $30 ($25 for museum members).
VVAE Exhibit is open from June 5-18, T-Sat from 10-4.
