Artist Joan Allen’s Watercolor Techniques Workshop is for beginners through advanced artists ages 10 through adult. $30 class fee / $25 for museum members. Bring your own art supplies, including watercolor paper (once you register a supplies list will be emailed to you). Complete registration by emailing Donna Rothgeb at drothgeb62@gmail.com.
Open Studio Art Workshop
The Open Studio Art Workshop accommodates area artists who want to experience a casual and collaborative art session. Held on the second Monday of each month, the workshop is held from 9 a.m. to noon in the IHMAC Gallery. Open Studio gives artists a chance to work on their own projects alongside other creative individuals. Artists should bring their own materials and supplies. Artists are asked to consider a $5 donation to the museum at each session, as the museum is closed on Mondays. There is no need to RSVP—just bring your materials and your creativity! For more information call the museum at 331-3515. IHMAC hours are Tuesday through Saturday 10:00 a.m.- 4:00 p.m.

An Afternoon of Holiday Music & Christmas Tree Auction
A new event this year! The evening will feature musicians from around the area presenting holiday melodies, interspersed with live and silent auction items. Food, drink, and holiday music are sure to make this evening special.
IHMAC Singers
The IHMAC Singers is a community group of singers who meet for several weeks of practice at the museum. They are directed by Christopher Kurt. They will present their Fall 2025 concert on Wednesday, Dec. 10 at 7:00 p.m.

Meadowlark Lounge

Verdigris Valley Art Exhibit Reception & Critique
The 71st Annual Verdigris Valley Art Exhibit is open to area artists. Categories are oil & acrylic, watercolor, mixed media, drawing (pencil/pen, pastel & charcoal) and 3-dimensional (sculpture & ceramics). Area artists (18 yrs and older) are encouraged to submit original artwork. Cash prizes will be given. See the Call for Entries for more details. Monte Toon Watercolor Workshop
“Watercolor Canvas/Aquaworld Workshop.” THIS watercolor workshop is for beginners and experienced artists. Monte will demonstrate the use of two new products, the Watercolor Canvas and Aquabord, which he believes will revolutionize the use of watercolors in America. The workshop will be conducted in the skylighted IHMAC Gallery West. IHMAC Young Artists Critique & Reception
Held in the IHMAC Gallery. Free to the public. This is a great opportunity for students to experience a public art critique. It is a wonderful learning experience for students and parents. The judge will be available after the critique to talk to individual students about their work.
IHMAC Young Artists Exhibit
IHMAC’s Young Artists Exhibit offers a unique experience for students from 3rd grade through 12th grade. The exhibit provides a public display of their work, and for middle and high school students, competing for ribbons and cash prizes exposes them to the world of competitive art. Students learn to network with other artists and begin to understand that art has value - that something is to be learned from other artists.
